We want to say a big “thank you” to Alan Green for coming to Claines Lane on Saturday to talk to fans about his football career.
The former Coventry City striker and England Youth International recalled his playing days in the seventies and eighties, reeling off names such as Pele, Eusebio, Beckenbauer and Cruyff as well as stars closer to home such as Norman Hunter and Tommy Hutchinson.
We are hoping to bring other City players from the past to Claines Lane to share their memories in the near future.
Meanwhile, Alan kindly autographed some photos for us and there are a handful left. These are available from the Club Shop on match days for a small donation.
