OUR MISSION

Football is the global language, it is the world’s favourite sport, its reach goes far beyond any political movement. Football’s worldwide popularity and power instils a sense of duty that football clubs must care and serve the society that they reside in. The Trust wants Worcester City FC to perform this duty, to devote its existence to serve the supporters and Worcester.

The mission of the Trust is simple, and is best summarised in three points:

  1. Worcester City FC to be converted into a community owned football club – run by the community, for the community
  2. To Bring City home
  3. Benefit the whole of Worcester and contribute to the culture of our vibrant city

In November 2021, The WCFC Supporters Trust owns 50+1% of the share capital in Worcester City FC Ltd making it a  Fan Owned Football Club & as the Trust is a Community Benefit Society, the club is Community Owned.

The Club returned to Worcester at Claines Lane for the start of the 2020/21 Season.

On the 24th May 2023, at a Trust Special Meeting our members voted to make Simon Lancaster the majority shareholder of the club. Mr Lancaster offered members a proposal involving significant investment into the football club alongside an ambitious plan for the future.

The agreement in place also came with significant protections and provisions which leaves the Trust as an important stakeholder in the club and has installed important overseeing powers for the Trust.

The Trust and Club continues to contribute to the culture of our City

We continue to organised the Sports Zone at the Worcester Show and is alwaysresounding success. The aim of the Sports Zone at the show is to promote active participation of sports and activities in the City of Worcester and give people of all ages an opportunity to try a new activity or sport.

We were also involved in the Community Zone of The Festival of Water Event held on Perdiswell at the end of August.

The Trust also plays a vital role in finding the club a permanent home moving forward, including the  Worcester Community Sports Park development (https://www.worcestershirecommunitysportspark.com).

We are also responsible for the recruitment, training and coordinating of our match day volunteers. We also will work with the club to see any areas where we can financially support as a shareholder of the club.
