Inclusion in Sport is running a trip to Kenya in October 2019 and we would love for you to join us! It’s in half term too, which will help any teachers, students and parents alike.
In partnership with Worcester City Supporters Trust and African Adventures, we will be taking a team of volunteers to Kenya to help with projects such as building, teaching and sports coaching for 8 nights, in October 2019. In addition to our volunteering, we will also be fundraising for the village we will be visiting and we will also be putting a small amount of funds back into community projects in Worcester via Worcester City Supporters Trust.
Anyone can attend and you don’t have to be an expert builder, coach or teacher- there’s something for people of all ages to do. This trip is ideally targeting over 18’s however, younger participants may volunteer, as long as they travel with an adult. We will provide lots of support with fundraising along the way and it is possible, as African Adventures send hundreds of volunteers to Kenya alone, every year. Volunteers will have access to an online portal with lots of resources and fundraising support to help reach the target.
We will be holding an information evening in Worcester on 3rd December from 6-7pm, at the Horizon Hub, Midland Road, Worcester, WR5 1DS, which is open to everyone and completely non-committal. If you are interested but can’t attend, don’t worry! We are happy to give you a call to talk through the details or meet for a coffee.
This is a fantastic and truly life changing opportunity. Volunteers who have visited these projects in the past have subsequently returned year after year and the experience has completely changed their outlook on life.
If you can’t attend the information evening, but are still interested, further information is attached and if you have any more specific questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. You can also find more information on the Inclusion in Sport website, Trust website (insert link here) or African Adventures website. If any individual or organisation would like to find out more, we are happy to visit your organisation to talk through the trip in more detail and if you would like posters or digital assets to support with promotion of the trip, please do not hesitate to contact us.
We do not profit from the trip in any way and African Adventures is a social enterprise and signatory to the United Nations Global Compact, with all of their work aligned to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals too.
